FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS, ANSWERED.
We believe in transparency.
HOW DO YOU ENSURE THE QUALITY OF YOUR MEAT?
The firm texture and fresh taste of the meat can only be ensured if the crabs are caught and cooked live. Our quality controllers are on the buying site, carefully receiving and sorting each crab. The company doesn’t run the risk of accepting dead crabs or those with deteriorating health, since there’s a likelihood that texture and freshness would be compromised.
Why does crabmeat have to go through pasteurization?
Our products do not contain any form of preservatives. The way to preserve freshness is through pasteurization.
After the crab meat is picked from the shells, the meat is subject to pasteurization which eliminates pathogenic and spoil-causing microorganisms without affecting the crab’s natural flavor. This process enables the product to extend its shelf life up to 14 months under refrigerated conditions without adding any form of preservatives.
