Who we are
|
RGE Agridev Corporation was established in February 2000 by the late Robert G. Eduardo. Following a stellar career as an executive of a multi-national food and beverage company for 20 years, he ventured into crabmeat export and set up crabmeat buying stations all over the country within 2 years.
In addition to providing employment to hundreds of PWDs (Persons With Disabilities) and Filipino fisherfolk, he also managed to position the Philippines as a reliable supplier of high-quality crabmeat for the global market. RGE Agridev became the first Philippine company to be HACCP and EU accredited. Aside from its own brand Pier 717 which comes in plastic tubs and tin cans, the company has been consistently tapped to produce pasteurized blue swimming crabmeat for international customers, shipping to more than 6 destinations worldwide including the US, Europe, Middle East and South East Asia instead. The demonstrated competence in quality control and traceability has allowed our products to reach clients ranging from airline caterers, hotels, supermarket chains and restaurants. RGE Agridev has also represented the country in European food exhibitions. RGE is not only dedicated to producing world class crabmeat but has also committed its time and resources to give back to the community. The company was instrumental in the formation of the Philippine Association of Crab Processors Inc. (PACPI) that actively works to protect Philippine seas and preserve marine life. With the assistance from the government, we also continue to spearhead programs for sustainable fishing. |
In pursuit of our vision, we make the following commitments to our stakeholders:
We shall provide our customers with affordable, world-class quality seafood products that meet their changing needs and wants. |
We shall spearhead and advocate sustainable fishing methods, ensuring steady supply of seafood for future generations. |
We shall promote inclusive growth giving employment opportunities in remote rural communities and persons with disabilities like the deaf and mute. |
